What are the components of English sentences?

S: Subject: Subject is the subject of sentence behavior or action, and it is a necessary sentence component. For example, in "I write", "I" is the subject, and the subject sends out the action of "writing", which is the predicate, while "word" is the object that accepts the action of the predicate, so it is called the object.

V: Verbs: The words that indicate the action state are called verbs.

O:object:object represents the object involved in the action. Usually a noun phrase or a structure equivalent to a noun phrase. Objects can be divided into direct objects, indirect objects and homologous objects.

P: Predicate: Predicate is a grammatical component that answers the subject "What" or "How". It modifies the subject, and the predicate is used to explain the identity, nature, character, characteristics and state of the subject. Predicate and conjunction must form a compound predicate of a sentence. Predicates are usually served by nouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositional phrases, infinitives, verbs -ing and clauses, which are usually located after conjunctions.

IO: Indirect object: When there are two objects in a sentence, the one that refers to the object or thing is the direct object. People (or animals) are indirect objects. (you can't judge by the distance between the object and the verb)

DO: direct object: the direct object of a thing.

C: Complements: There are two kinds of complements in English, one is subject complement and the other is object complement. The subject complement is the complete subject, and the object complement is the complete object.
