What is the composition of automobile suspension?

Automobile suspension system refers to the connecting structure system among the body, frame and wheels. It includes shock absorber, suspension spring, anti-roll bar, suspension auxiliary beam, lower control arm, longitudinal bar, knuckle arm, rubber bushing and connecting rod. When the car is driving on the road, it is subject to vibration and impact due to the change of the ground. Some of these impact forces will be absorbed by the tire, but most of them will be absorbed by the suspension device between the tire and the car body.

The function of automobile suspension system is to transmit the force and torque acting between the wheel and the frame, buffer the impact force transmitted to the frame or body by uneven road surface, and attenuate the vibration caused thereby, thus ensuring the smoothness of automobile driving. Automobile suspension can be divided into dependent suspension and independent suspension. The structural feature of dependent suspension is that the wheels on both sides are connected by integral axles, and the wheels and axles are connected with the frame (or body) through elastic suspension. When one wheel jumps because of uneven road surface, it will inevitably cause the other wheel to swing in the transverse plane of the car, so it is called dependent suspension. The structural feature of independent suspension is that the axle is disconnected, and the wheels on both sides can be connected to the frame (or car body) respectively through elastic suspension, and the wheels on both sides can jump independently without affecting each other, so it is called independent suspension.

Suspension is an important assembly in an automobile, which connects the frame and the wheels flexibly and is related to the performance of the automobile. From the appearance, the automobile suspension is a car assembly that is difficult to meet the perfect requirements. This is because the suspension should not only meet the requirements of automobile comfort, but also meet the requirements of automobile handling stability, and the suspension is only composed of some rods, tubes and springs, but it should not be considered simple, on the contrary, it is opposite to each other.
