What does ULED TV mean? Is it different from ordinary LED TV?
1, Chinese name:
ULED, or Ultra, is called "independently controlled multi-zone light emitting diode" in Chinese, and ULED TV is also a quantum dot TV. LED TV is actually a liquid crystal display, which is translated As "light emitting diode", which is a diode made of compounds containing gallium (Ga), arsenic (As), phosphorus (P), nitrogen (N) and silicon (Si).
2, color principle:
The difference between ULED TV and OLED TV lies in the different lighting mechanism of the TV panel it uses. OLED TV does not need backlight, but ULED still needs it.
ULED uses blue chips to excite red and green phosphors or quantum dots. By studying the spectral distribution of hundreds of LED backlight and dozens of color filters, a set of color gamut simulation model of liquid crystal module is established, and through the optimization of thousands of experimental data, relatively good color filters and high color gamut LED backlight spectra are designed.
LED is a diode made of compounds containing gallium (Ga), arsenic (As), phosphorus (P), nitrogen (N), silicon (Si) and so on. When electrons and holes recombine, they can emit visible light, so they can be used to make light-emitting diodes.
Step 3 use:
ULED is a display quality technology processing engine developed for electronic medical displays and LCD TVs. Using multi-partition independent backlight control and Hiview picture engine technology, compared with the traditional LED display screen, the brightness, contrast, layering, dark field details, accurate color reproduction, fluency and response speed of the picture are greatly improved.
LED, known as the fourth generation light source, has the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection, safety, long life, low power consumption, low heat, high brightness, waterproof, miniature, shockproof, easy dimming, concentrated light beam and simple maintenance, and can be widely used in various fields such as indication, display, decoration, backlight and general lighting.
4. Shortcomings
Although the picture quality of organic light-emitting diodes is excellent, there are still some defects such as high price and short service life because of the technical difficulties.
Disadvantages of LED: high initial cost, poor color rendering, low efficiency of high-power LED, constant current driving (requiring special driving circuit). In contrast, all kinds of traditional lighting have some defects.
