The role of ice-dyeing dyes
A class of water-insoluble azo dyes (see dyes) produced on fabrics under freezing temperatures. It was invented by the British as early as 1880. Ice dyeing dyes printing and dyeing process is the fabric first with coupling components (color phenol) solution base, and then through the ice cold but the diazo component (color base diazonium salt) solution, that is, in the fabric directly on the coupling reaction and color, generate solid azo dyes, so as to achieve the purpose of printing and dyeing. Ice dyeing dyes have bright color, good washing and sunlight fastness, complete color spectrum, simple synthetic route and low price. Mainly used for cotton fabric dyeing and printing, can also be used for the preparation of organic pigments.
