First time fishing

Today at noon, my dad came home, his face piled up with smiles, I was puzzled and asked, "Dad, what's the happy news?" Dad smiled and said, "I bought a pair of fishing rods, let's go fishing in the pond this afternoon!" "Yes, yes!" I was overjoyed!

In the afternoon, we went to the pond. Dad first packed up the fishing rod, stretched it long, and then hung the fish food on the rod. He threw the rod, and the line was thrown far away from the center of the pond with a whoosh. Then, we waited quietly.

After about 40 minutes, nothing happened. Standing on the sidelines, I had long been impatient, and I exclaimed, "Dad, let me try!" Dad gave me the rod, I held the rod in high spirits, staring at the water, I patiently waited for the fish to take the bait. After waiting for about ten minutes, I suddenly felt the rod sink, as if something was tugging at it. I thought to myself: it must be a fish biting the bait. I gave it a hard lift, "Wow! I caught a fish!" I shouted excitedly. Dad said, "You're great! It looks like the fish like little kids."

As the sun was setting and the rod was being reeled in, I was so pleasured to see the fish alive and kicking. Ah, what a great day I had!

Guilin trip

Today at two o'clock in the middle of the night, my father took me to Beijing by bus, and at nine o'clock we took a plane to Guangxi to start a week's travel. I have long heard: "Guilin mountains and waters are the best in the world". Sitting on the airplane I was excited, looking forward to come to Guilin earlier.

Two and a half hours later, we arrived in Guilin, as soon as we got off the plane, we took the bus to Li River.

The Li River is really big! We took a boat to enjoy the water of Li River. There are so many people in Li River! Some people are taking pictures, some 'people are enjoying the beauty of the outside, some people and friends talk a lot, from time to time came their laughter. My dad and I were at the back of the boat taking pictures while enjoying the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river. I saw Guilin's strange mountains, some resembling old men, some tigers, some camels... It was very beautiful, and my father and I took many group photos. I also saw a brother taking a picture with a python, wow! It was so exciting!

When we arrived at the shore, we got off the boat and my dad bought me a water gun, which I had a great time playing with. This is my happiest day!

Greeting mom back

Mom has been back home for ten days, and I miss her very much. At 5:40 this morning, I was still asleep, my father called me to get up, as soon as I heard it was to go to the train station to pick up my mom I immediately got up.

When we arrived at the train station, my dad bought a platform ticket and we went inside to pick up my mom.

We waited and waited and waited on the platform... and finally we saw the train that mom was on. When we saw that Mom was in compartment 15, Dad and I ran as fast as we could to follow the train. When the train finally stopped and mom stepped out, she happily picked me up and we hugged as a family.

Mom finally came home, my dad and I were so happy!
