The know-how of Chinese painting

Wrinkling is a unique brush and ink method in landscape painting. It can be said that if you don't understand wrinkling, you won't understand landscape painting. Wrinkling refers to wrinkling the folds and textures of rocks and trees with different brushwork to show the textures of rocks and trees. There are dozens of ways to wrinkle.

Lotus leaf mass

1 Use a small wolfram pen to adjust the heavy ink, draw the outline of the upper part of the stone in the center, and then draw the bottom of the stone with a light ink pen, thus completing the drawing of a stone.

Attention!

Lotus leaves, like the veins of lotus leaves, are often used to show the deep cracks that appear after the natural corrosion of hard stone peaks. Lotus leaf strokes should be both rigid and flexible, depicting the twists and turns of peaks and valleys with straight lines and curves.

2 dilute the ink, and add stones behind the painted stones with the center dry pen.

Continue to draw the hill behind the stone with light ink, and the lines should be thick on the top and thin on the bottom, and solid on the top and empty on the bottom.

Dip in thick ink, move the pen sideways in the center, and draw with a dry pen from the farthest mountain peak.

Attention!

When drawing lotus leaves, the lines should pause slightly when starting the pen, and the pen should be empty when closing the pen. You can refer to the tendons of lotus leaves when drawing.

5. Draw along the direction of the mountain. When painting, you can regard the rock as a broken lotus leaf, and draw a vein with a painting brush.

6 Lighten the ink, draw a pen in the center and add lotus leaves to the stone in front.

7 After painting the lotus leaf, brush the peak with ink to highlight the hard texture of the peak.

8 reconcile the light ink, disperse the front with a dry pen, wipe the nearby stones, and highlight the rough texture of the peaks.

Attention!

Pay attention to the change of ink color when wiping the mountain peak to highlight the three-dimensional sense and heavy feeling of the mountain peak.
