Definition of Agricultural Irrigation
Agricultural irrigation can be generally categorized as traditional surface irrigation, general sprinkler irrigation and micro-irrigation. Traditional surface irrigation includes border irrigation, furrow irrigation, flood irrigation, and diffuse irrigation, but this type of irrigation tends to consume a lot of water, has low water utilization, and is a very irrational type of agricultural irrigation. In addition, ordinary sprinkler irrigation technology is a more common irrigation method in Chinese agricultural production. However, the water utilization efficiency of ordinary sprinkler irrigation technology is also not high. Modern agricultural micro-irrigation technologies include micro-sprinkler irrigation, drip irrigation, and seepage irrigation. These irrigation technologies generally have good water-saving performance and higher water utilization than traditional irrigation modes, but, of course, there are some drawbacks.
