Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank is a financial institution with a long history, founded in 1951 and reorganized on June 29, 2008 as Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank. It is China's third and the first provincial rural commercial bank in the west after Shanghai and Beijing. It ranks first among financial institutions in Chongqing in terms of asset size, deposit size and number of outlets. Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank was successfully listed on the main board of H-shares in Hong Kong on December 16, 2010, becoming the first listed rural commercial bank in China, the first overseas listed local bank and the first listed bank in the west.
