China Traditional Culture, National Culture and Uygur Medicine

Xinjiang Uyghur medicine in China, referred to as "Uyghur medicine", has a long history and a perfect theoretical system, and is an important part of traditional medicine in China. In the long-term medical practice, Uyghur medicine has summed up a set of four material theories of "earth, fire, water and gas" and four body fluid theories of "blood, bile, mucus and black bile", which are used as the basic theories to explain human physiological and pathological phenomena. When the balance between them is broken, the human body will undergo abnormal changes, leading to diseases. Pulse-taking, observation and inquiry are used to diagnose diseases. There are many treatments, besides internal medicine, there are fumigation, bloodletting, hot compress, cupping, sand therapy, medicated bath and so on. Compound mixture is commonly used in medicine, and single medicine is generally not used. After liberation, Uygur medicine has made great progress. In some cities, Uighur medical hospitals or clinics have been established, and ethnic medicine works such as Kanongqi, Comprehensive Medical Manual of Uygur Ethnic Medicine and Knowledge of Uygur Medicine have been published, which have enriched China's medical treasure house.
