What are the main types of acupuncture?

(1) body acupuncture

Body acupuncture therapy, also known as "millipede therapy", is a millipede as a needling tool, through the fourteen meridians of the human body on the acupoints applied to a certain method of operation, in order to regulate the Yingwei qi and blood, to adjust the meridians and internal organs and the function of the treatment of related diseases of a method. Body acupuncture therapy is the most important and most commonly used in our traditional acupuncture therapy, is the main body of acupuncture therapy.

Access points: Pancreatic Yu, Spleen Yu, Diaphragm Yu, Kidney Yu, Foot Sanli, Sanyinjiao.

Complementary points: for excessive drinking, thirst and dry mouth, add Lung Yu, Shaoshang, Jinjin, Yuyi, Chengjian, Yishe, Yangchi to clear heat and keep fluids in the body; for excessive eating and easy to starve, add Zhongkou, Gastric Yu, Daxiang, Abdominal Junction, Neiting, Fenglong to clear the stomach and remove fire; for excessive urination, lumbago, tinnitus, heartburn, hot flashes, and night sweating, add Guanyuan, Taixi, Rangu, Zhaohai, Fuxuyi, and Taichong to nourish the Yin and benefit the kidney; for fatigue, tiredness, and weakness, the kidneys and the liver, add Guan Yuan, Taixi, Rangu, Zhaohai, Fuxuyi, and Taichong. For those with fatigue, lack of breath and laziness, diarrhea, head distension and heavy limbs, add Stomach Yu, Tianshu, Qihai and Yinlingquan to strengthen the spleen and promote dampness.

Administration: dorsal yu point needle to the spinous process, into the needle 1 ~ 2 inches. According to the condition of the acupoints into two groups of alternating use, both tonic and diarrhea, in order to needling the main gas, stay in the needle for 15 to 30 minutes, intermittent needling, once a day or every other day, 12 times as a course of treatment, each course of treatment interval of 3 to 5 days. (2) Mang acupuncture

Access points: the middle epigastric region, the upper epigastric region, the Tianchu, Guanyuan, and Chibian.

Complementary points: foot Sanli, Neiguan, and the five viscera.

Administration: the upper elimination is dominated by the Tian Tu and the upper epigastric region; the middle elimination is dominated by the middle epigastric region; and the lower elimination is dominated by the Chichibian and Guan Yuan.

(3) Plum Blossom Needle

The Plum Blossom Needle, also known as the "Seven Star Needle", is made of five to seven stainless steel needles, clustered and fixed at one end of the handle, which is made of the ancient Chinese methods of "Semi-Puncture", "Floating Prick", "Floating Prick" and "Floating Prick". It is developed from the ancient "half puncture", "floating puncture", "hair puncture" and other needling methods, belongs to the cluster needle shallow puncture method, is a kind of puncture method with multiple short needles to puncture the human body acupoints superficially.

(4) Electroacupuncture

Electroacupuncture is a method that combines millimetre acupuncture with pulsed current stimulation, utilizing pulsed stimulation of different waveforms to strengthen the regulatory function of the acupuncture points and to achieve enhanced therapeutic effect.

Access points: pancreas Yu, lung Yu, spleen Yu, kidney Yu, foot Sanli, Sanyinjiao.

Application: each time to choose 2 ~ 3, acupuncture after the gas connected to the electroacupuncture instrument, the current intensity to the extent tolerated by the patient, energized for 15 minutes, once every other day.

(5) auricular acupuncture

Taking points: pancreas, endocrine, lung, stomach, kidney, bladder, Sanjiao, thirst point, hunger point.

(6) moxibustion

Moxibustion is the use of moxa or other drugs placed on the body surface of the acupoints parts of the burning, warm ironing, through the moxibustion fire of the mild heat and the role of natural medicines, through the meridian conduction, to play the role of warming the qi and blood, support the role of positive and eliminate the evil spirits, to achieve the purpose of the treatment of disease and health care of a kind of external treatment method. It can treat some diseases with poor effect of acupuncture, or combined with the application of acupuncture, it can improve the therapeutic effect, and it is an important content of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy. Moxibustion material is mainly made of moxa leaves, which is easy to burn, has an aromatic odor and burns with a gentle heat that reaches deep into the skin.

Access points: Pancreas Yu, Lung Yu, Spleen Yu, Stomach Yu, Eye Yu, Kidney Yu, Great Vertebrae, Foot Sanli, Taixi.

Complementary acupoints: Lung heat plus Yuji; Spleen and Stomach heat plus Zhongkou; Kidney Qi deficiency plus Guanyuan and Qihai.

Technology: the upper points are divided into 2 to 3 groups, 1 group per day, each point with moxa cones across the ginger moxibustion 5 to 10, hanging moxibustion can also be used to the extent that the skin is red and moist, do not burn the skin to cause infection.
