Introduction of Yuhang Economic Development Zone

High-tech Enterprise City (Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone) was established in 1993 as an important base for Hangzhou's industrial development, and was upgraded to a state-level economic and technological development zone in July 2012 with the approval of the State Council.

High-tech Enterprise City (Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone) is located in the northern part of Zhejiang Province, at the southern end of Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Plain and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, close to the city of Linping where the living facilities are perfect, and in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, it is the "bridgehead" of Hangzhou connected with the industrial belt of Shanghai-Jiaxing-Huzhou. It is a 25-minute drive from Hangzhou International Airport, a 40-minute drive from West Lake Scenic Area and Xixi Wetland, and can reach major cities in East China within two hours. The Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed railway and Hangzhou Metro Line 1 shorten the transportation time between the development zone and the main cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou.

The master plan of Hi-Tech Enterprise City (Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone) is divided into 7 functional blocks, including traditional industry upgrading zone, high-tech industry zone, new equipment manufacturing zone, public **** service center zone, urban renewal zone, trade zone, and supporting residential zone. Industrial positioning is to focus on the development of "4 +1" leading industries, namely: health industry, equipment manufacturing, green industry, communications electronics and textile and garment industry by the transformation and upgrading. Currently, Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone is authorized by the provincial government as "Zhejiang Province Biomedical Industry Demonstration Base".

After nearly 20 years of development, Hi-Tech Enterprise City (Hangzhou Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone) has gradually developed into a modern economic park with good growth and rapid development momentum, with high-tech industry as the leading industry, and based on the industries of equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, textile and garment, and communication and electronics.
