Western culture is the product of long-term historical activities of people in western Europe and North America. Originated, developed and matured in Europe, it spread to North and South America, Australia and other vast areas in the 20th century, affecting the whole world. This is an open culture.

Western culture originated from ancient Greek, Roman and Hebrew cultures, and developed from the European Renaissance in the14th century, the religious reform in the16th century, the scientific revolution in the17th century and the enlightenment in the18th century to the industrial society in the18th century, making western culture increasingly perfect and mature.
