Business model of Confucius Institute

There are two types of business models for the Confucius Institute: the Hanban project type, the fund donation type, and the industrial business type.

1, Hanban project type: fully invested by the Chinese government or local governments, limited to the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture within the territory of China, the teaching staff and management personnel are appointed by the Chinese government, and the management mode is similar to that of schools.

2. Fund Donation Type: It is organized by domestic and foreign enterprises or individuals, limited to the dissemination of Chinese traditional culture within China, under the supervision of the Chinese government, with teaching staff and management personnel selected or appointed by the donors.

3. Industry-operated: invested and organized by Chinese enterprises or individuals, spreading Chinese traditional culture globally, which is an important way for China to carry out cultural exchanges and dissemination to the outside world.
