Breast cancer chemotherapy regimen

Since normal cells do not divide as frequently as cancer cells, they are less susceptible to the lethal effects of anticancer drugs. In addition, different anti-cancer drugs can act on cancer cells at different stages of growth to maximize the extreme killing of cancer tumors, which in turn helps to improve the efficacy of treatment. Commonly used chemotherapy regimens in clinic are: (1) modified CMF regimen; (2) AF regimen; (3) AC regimen.

(l) CMF regimen;

CTX - cyclophosphamide; MTX - methotrexate 15-Fu - 5-fluorouracil.

CTX 600 mg, IV.

MTX 1O to 15 mg, IV.

5-FU 500 mg, IV drip.

Of the above 3 drugs, MTX is injected first, followed by CTX and 5-FU 6 hours later to obtain drug synergy. Administer every 7 to 10 days, 2 to 3 times for each dose, and discontinue for 2 to 3 weeks. Continue for 1 to 2 years.

(2) AF regimen:

ADM - adriamycin; 5-FU - 5-fluorouracil.

ADM 30-4O mg, IV; 5-Fu 500 mg, IV, administered every 3 weeks.

(3) AC regimen:

ADM - adriamycin; CTX - cyclophosphamide.

ADM 30-40 mg, IV; CTX 600 mg, IV, administered every 3 weeks.

AF regimen and AC regimen: every 3 to 5 months of medication, 1 to 2 months of rest.

Since the chemotherapeutic drugs have the same killing effect on the normal cells of the organism, so that the effective dose and the toxic dose of chemotherapy for breast cancer are quite close to each other, and also because the chemotherapy itself can inhibit the immune function of the host, and when the immune-suppressing effect of the cast drugs exceeds the anti-tumor effect, it can sometimes produce irreversible to the major organs.
