During the festival, the natural villages in Mizhi Township will organize lantern teams to perform lion dance, dragon lantern play and lantern festival in Dazi Street in Mizhi, to celebrate the party's policies and the people's better life in the form of words and songs, and wish a better life in the new year.
Lantern teams from all villages gathered in the square in front of Mizhi Temple, playing with dragons, dancing lions, jumping lanterns, singing lanterns, competing lanterns, making lanterns and setting off firecrackers, and partying all night, which was known as the "Oriental Lantern Festival".
