What customs do Koreans have in marriage?
The groom's wedding is a ceremony held at the bride's house when the groom welcomes the bride. Traditional ceremonies include goose-laying ceremony, mutual worship ceremony, sexual intercourse ceremony and banquet ceremony. Every etiquette has its long tradition. For example, when the groom holds a wedding, he will bring a beautifully carved and colorful model goose and put it on the table outside the door. The bride put on new makeup and sat in the house. The groom bows to the model goose, symbolizing that the newlyweds fly with me like swans, love each other and never part. After the goose release ceremony, the bride and groom bow to each other inside and out (inside and outside the house), then exchange glasses and toast each other. After the mutual worship ceremony, a house ceremony is held, and the groom enters the room to meet, get close to and greet the bride alone. The wedding banquet is the time when the groom accepts the wedding banquet. The banquet was filled with cakes, sugar, meat, eggs and other foods, accompanied by the best man and the young people in the neighborhood. At the end of the banquet, the groom will be served dinner, and a peeled egg will be buried in the bowl, but the groom can only eat half of it. After leaving the banquet, the other half will be left to the bride, which means that the husband and wife love each other and share weal and woe. After the groom's wedding, the groom will stay at the bride's house for a period of time (3 ~ 7 days), and then return to the man's house on an auspicious day. When the woman goes to the man's house, her in-laws will come out to dance to show their warm welcome to the bride.
When the bride gets married, there are only wedding banquets and aunt ceremonies. On the first day of the bride's arrival, she held a wedding banquet with a cooked rooster and a red pepper in her mouth, symbolizing the prosperity of future generations. The bride's banquet is richer than the groom's. On the morning after the bride arrived, a ceremony was held to pay homage to the bride. In fact, the bride will take out the gifts already prepared to meet her in-laws and relatives. After the wedding banquet, we began to entertain until late at night. On the third day, the groom accompanied the bride back to the door. In addition, there are wedding etiquette such as "first line", "pro-banquet" and "in-laws face to face".
