Li Jian Tsinghua University's speech
After many years, I came to the West Stage (Tsinghua) again, which was completely different from the past and the conditions were much better. 15 years ago, I studied signals and systems here (laughs). At that time, I never thought that many years later, I would speak music here. Life is really wonderful! And I found that the proportion of girls in Tsinghua seems a little high (laughs), and the human environment is much better. Especially the friends standing in the back, it is very hard. Thank you very much for coming to see my speech in such hot weather. Actually, I was swimming an hour ago, and the staff asked, "Brother Jian, how's the preparation going?" I said I'm not ready! The staff was very surprised. Later, I thought, I play music every day, and I don't have to be too prepared, because I think I am a person who is always ready (applause).
I also saw many friends in my fan club. Every time they come from dozens of kilometers away (laughter). (Li Jian greets the fan club) I suddenly think, should I re-prepare my manuscript? Because there are many people learning piano here today, I'd better use guitar to say it. It has been 26 years since my last speech. My last speech was in primary school (laughs). I remember my topic was "How to be a new person with four qualities" (laughter). Today I'm going to talk about "how guitar creates musical legends". I'll just talk about my feelings.
I like singing since I was a child. One day, I suddenly felt that it would be great if I could play the piano and sing by myself. Because there were many TV plays and movies about guitar. Later, I chose the cheapest guitar class, 40 yuan a month, and went to learn. At that time, I had an idea that it would be OK as long as I could play and sing two songs. One is about winter and the other is about the outside world. After studying for a month, some songs taught by the teacher were particularly biased. I remember a song called Orchid. Everyone has heard of it. It's a song that you can play and sing without your left hand (laughter). The other is the Japanese song Song of the Four Seasons. But the teacher is good at business. At the end of primary school, there was a sudden power outage one day. I don't know if it's intentional or true. He lit a candle, sat on the table, and played Romance of Love I with a classical guitar, which is an easy-to-understand solo that many friends have heard. Then, I was deeply attracted at once. I think that appeals to me more than playing and singing. Then I handed in 15 yuan for the next class. After studying for three months, the teacher played a better tune, so I continued to study and paid more money. Later, because I performed well and played the piano well, I could help the teacher do what I could, help the teacher clean the classroom, and then tune the piano (laughs)-I am from Harbin, and my Mandarin should be very good. I said "tune the piano" (laughter). During that time, I had to tune 60 guitars every day, so my ears got better. Then the teacher stopped charging tuition, and I learned more from the teacher. At that time, I had already started to learn classical piano, and I took two students from Harbin Institute of Technology to teach them to play the most basic. Basically, I can't come up with this tuition. It was my teacher who paid for my tuition and asked me to learn piano from my teacher.
When I first started playing those harmonies, I didn't know which notes I played, only which functional blocks I played. For example, this is a minor chord and a d minor chord. It was not until I played the classical piano later that I knew why I played this sound and this harmony in this summary and why I had to change chords in the next section. This is what Classical Guitar II taught me. At that time, before I learned piano, there was music class in middle school. Every time in class, when the teacher is free, he will let me do a music problem in front. I always end up with a ridiculous answer. Because I know nothing about music theory. After learning the piano and taking music lessons, I became the person with the best knowledge of music theory in my class. Because at that time, few people would spend their holidays learning music. The teacher thought it was strange, too. Later he asked me, and I said I was learning guitar. So I think guitar is the real music enlightener, and 80% of mainland Hong Kong and Taiwan singers, including me, have opened the door to music under the guidance of guitar. Because the guitar is a particularly good musical instrument, it can lead you step by step from the simplest notation to the staff, to harmony and acoustics, and even to the most difficult polyphonic music of Bach III.
Romance of love, the soundtrack of the French film Taboo Game. Adapted from traditional Spanish folk songs, Spain wrote lyrics.
The famous guitarist Ye Peisi switched to solo. The beautiful and simple melody of music is completely integrated with clear staccato chords, which is full of tenderness and romance. It is an immortal masterpiece in guitar music.
Two classical guitars, also known as Spanish guitar, nylon guitar and flamenco guitar, are a classification of guitars. On the fingerboard, the character is 12 from the pin pillow to the joint between the handle and the piano box. The fingerboard is wide, using nylon strings, and the sound quality is pure and thick. Mainly used to play classical music. Classical guitar has strict requirements and profound skills from playing posture to fingering strings, and is considered as the highest form of guitar art.
Johann sebastian bach (1685- 1750) was the greatest and most influential composer in Europe in the first half of the 8th century. He is an important representative figure in the baroque music period. Because of his outstanding creative activities and great contribution to the development of music art, Bach is known as the "father of music" in the history of world music. However, we now have a misunderstanding that guitar is a prop of pop singers or rock singers, as if it were an ornament. In fact, in my opinion, the real value of guitar lies in classical guitar. There are four major musical instruments in the world: piano, violin, cello and guitar. Some musicians described it accurately. Piano is the king of musical instruments! Guitar is equivalent to a prince and violin is a princess. So the guitar has a unique charm in it. It seems that in major competitions, the winners of these four instruments also have the most generous bonuses. But most of us will ignore the classical guitar. In fact, I learned piano and made music, and the classical guitar benefited the most. From the whole middle school age, it seems that nothing but studying is playing the piano, so physical education is very poor. At that time, there was nothing to train in physical education class, because in Harbin, skating was the main thing in winter and parallel bars in summer. Therefore, the students who graduated at that time not only skated well, but also developed their chest muscles, which were only available in physical education class every day.
In middle school, I am a very diligent person. I have to study and take the college entrance examination all the way, so I come to play the piano during my lunch break every day. During the holidays, I will play for about 4 to 6 hours every day, so there will be no other extracurricular activities. After coming to Tsinghua, I found that many friends who love music have very good ideas and musical talents, but what they lack is technology. If you go to college to learn piano, strictly speaking, you are late; If you want to make music, it's too late. When I entered school, there were many rock bands. At that time, I didn't know what Tsinghua was like now. There are many people wearing long hair shawls and fur coats (laughter). At that time, it seemed that rock music, especially heavy metal music, was very developed in the 1990s. So people who played rock and roll at that time had a sense of superiority, especially those who played the electric piano. Those of us who play classical music or write folk songs don't seem to have enough momentum. I just went to college and played electric guitar for a while, but later I found it unsuitable. Because the strings of electric guitar are very soft and thin. The point is to spend money! Why? You need to buy an effect device. You need electricity. Dormitories often run out of electricity, and it won't work if it's too late (laughs). Then I gave up.
After I was a sophomore in Tsinghua, I really sorted out some of my disorganized skills and knowledge in music. I went to the choir in Tsinghua. The choir has four parts, and the harmony is particularly beautiful. At that time, there was a senior classmate named "Andhadhun", who could tune out whatever you sang. Later, when we sang Yue Opera, he could also harmonize with Yue Opera (laughs). He can find that kind of three-dimensional relationship at once. In half a year, I'll know, too. When others sing, I can find the big 3 degrees and the small 3 degrees. As a tenor, I can't find the next 3 degrees. Later, I went to learn bass. This is very important for a pop singer. In the early days when I lived in Shui Mu, I didn't need to pay extra for singing harmony, because I could find harmony by myself.
A "black duck" group was first established in 1984, which is the first harmonious group in China. Members of the original class,, Yin, all graduated from the violin department of the Central Conservatory of Music. Formal music education and systematic training have cultivated their good musical quality. Lu Lili moved to Canada in 1996, and Guo Qi joined in 1998. At the end of 2002, the original "Black Duck" singing group was readjusted. After the founder of "Black Duck" readjusted the members of the singing group, the singing group of "Black Duck" was divided into the old "Black Duck" group (Xu) and the "Black Duck" group (Li Rong, Guo Qi and Li Wei). Another important stage in Tsinghua is that I started my minor in my sophomore year. I don't know if you have it now. At that time, I was a teacher of China Conservatory of Music and Central Conservatory of Music, and I came here to teach music theory. (We) study very systematically. There are an introduction to art, folklore, solfeggio for one and a half years, Sposobin's harmony and acoustics, basic music theory and musical form analysis. When I learned the hardest thing, about two and a half years later, I quit. Because I am in the department of electronics, the homework of the department of electronics is really too heavy, especially the "signal and system" I mentioned in this room just now (laughter). The heaviest course is called "stochastic process" (laughter). Is there an electronics department here? (The audience responds: "Yes!" I can't even lift my hand (laughs). Studying is really tiring. I think if I don't stop that (minor in music), it will be difficult for me to graduate from the department of electronics.
Ispo Sobin (1900- 1954) is a Soviet music theorist and educator. His main works include Two and Three Solfeggio and Ear Training Collections, Basic Music Theory (Chinese version attached), Harmony and Acoustics Course, etc.
Classical music learned along the way is very helpful to pop music. Today, all means of popular music still use classical music. Then someone will ask: What about jazz? Jazz was greatly inspired by Debussy, a classical musician, and it all came from classical music. So I think the development of technology and music in Tsinghua in recent years has given me a lot. At that time, there were many differences with the choir teachers, because I sang very well at that time, and the teachers still hoped that I could go further on the road of folk songs. But at that time I was always with the later "Shui Mu" Lu Gengxu, and they sang some campus songs together. The school was not very supportive at first, but later understood; Then from acquiescence to support in pop music. Later, we had a campus song concert, but it was only held once, and then it was dissolved. But what impressed me at that time was that the creative atmosphere of the school was very strong. At that time, people older than us, such as Gao and Zheng Jun, often came to school. I have been here, too. To perform and give us people who love music a lot of encouragement. I remember in 1994, in the auditorium next door. At that time, "You at the same table" was just popular, and then Lao Lang sang on it. I remember it was very hot, and I was still wearing a thick green dress, which seemed to be something like "one or two pairs" (laughter). When the old wolf came on stage, the applause thundered. I envy it. I think it would be great if one day I were like an old wolf: standing on the stage and singing (such as thunder applause). Many years later, I told the old wolf about it. The old wolf patted me with a smile and said, "Yes." But I don't know what this means (laughs).
Akchir Claude Debussy (1862- 19 18) is a French composer and music critic. During the First World War, he wrote some works of sympathy for the suffering people. In his creative career of more than 30 years, he formed an impressionistic music style, which had a far-reaching influence on the music of European and American countries.
Now, I am sitting here, gradually combing these fragments in my memory, which is particularly beautiful. But when I was in Tsinghua, I was really tired of studying, so I wanted to graduate as soon as possible and live a life without exams (laughs). Later, after graduation, some of my classmates and I are a little uncomfortable (laughing) from June to June every year, and often have nightmares (laughing). A few months ago, I dreamed that someone said, Li Jian, you are going to take the college entrance examination. I said I graduated from Tsinghua, why do I need the college entrance examination? He said, sorry, that doesn't count (laughs). Later, I was relieved to find that the best students in our class also had such dreams.
When I graduated, some people said that many people wanted to live here for life without taking the Tsinghua exam. I can understand the feeling of this beautiful campus. After becoming a singer, I was interviewed and asked about the influence of Tsinghua on my music creation. I thought about it and said, if I hadn't come to this school, I might not be a singer. It is precisely such a science and engineering college that it will be particularly attractive when its humanistic atmosphere appears. When we were at school, there were too many humanities clubs, such as poetry club, classical music club, guitar club and ballroom dancing club. I got together with some friends in the art circle last night, and it suddenly occurred to me that I might have gained more than other students. 1996, I lived in a private house in the north gate of Tsinghua for a summer, and happened to meet some wandering poets and painters who moved from Yuanmingyuan to the north gate of Tsinghua. Their way of speaking, lifestyle and works all give me a different feeling. It was also from that time that I had some creative impulses. After reading their poems and paintings, I found that there is another way of thinking. This is very attractive to me. When I was in middle school, I didn't like Chinese very much, and my Chinese grades were very poor. I remember that the first question in the exam always looked for a group of times when all the pronunciations were correct and there were no correct ones (laughs). But by 1996, I suddenly found that I liked Chinese, but I didn't like the articles I had studied. I like to read Van Gogh's biography "Good Girl" and later Borges I's works. Those really gave me a lot of humanistic encouragement. Later, I wrote a song called "The Wind Blows Wheat Waves", which is actually a memory of this stage.
These years in Tsinghua are my real growth stage. In middle school, you are not free, but completely passive, because you want the college entrance examination; Your family will take care of you, and your life is doomed. After coming to Tsinghua, you should first manage your own money. The first two years were always out of control, and the money was spent in half (laughs). I don't want to ask my family for money. So, I went to the bar outside to sing later. I have done some work-study programs. I remember five (? ) I had 10 thousand yuan when I was in grade, and I felt very rich, so I often invited my classmates to drink soda (laughs). I like swimming, so I bought all kinds of advanced goggles. I was very happy.
In college, your life is very independent, but you will also encounter emotional struggles. You must consider the word "love". Falling in love in Tsinghua is very special (laughs). I don't need to repeat too much; Sometimes there is nothing you can do (laughter and applause). How about Peking University next door? The female students of Peking University are very proud. We are also very proud, so we won't go (laughs). So later I wrote a lot of fantasies (laughs) in my creation. Loneliness produces fantasy, and fantasy produces creation. It hasn't changed for so many years. At that time, many seniors advised me. Said to fall in love more, so as to be creative; How can you be creative if you are not sad (laughs)? At that time, I didn't know why many campus singers were inexplicably depressed (laughing) and often meditated. I have a senior who also writes songs and often says something very philosophical. One day, he called me to him and said to me, "Li Jian, you can't go on like this." . I said what happened to me. He said, "You always sing some works by Alan Tam and others. Why not sing a little deeper? " I asked, what is a deep song? He said, "You should sing Tayu Lo and the Beatles III more often, that is, the Beatles." I said, "I've heard them sing, but I don't think they sing well." At that time, my understanding of music stayed on the technique for a long time. He was very angry. I remember he was drinking a bottle of beer at that time, and then he threw the bottle on the table and said angrily, "You good seedling, you can't do this again!" " "(Laughter) This startled me. Because there is a tradition in Tsinghua that no matter how well you sing or play, you should always listen to your seniors. It has always been like this. At that time, I was better at singing and playing ball than many people who were taller than me in grade, but I still respected them. His words gave me a great shock. Then I really began to listen to the music of these people he said. Really opened another window for me.
Jorges luis borges (1899- 1986) is an Argentine writer. His works cover many literary categories, including essays, poems, literary criticism and translated literature. Among them, Latin meaningful words and profound philosophy are good at it. Representative works include The Moon in front of us, Essays, Novels, etc.
Hong Kong music superstars Alan Tam, Samuel Hui, Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui and others represent the highest level of Cantonese songs.
British rock band The Beatles. Bring * * to pop music.
The change has influenced the music and thoughts of several generations of rock bands since the 1960s, which directly led to the change and development of rock music. The four great musicians in the band, especially John Lennon and paul mccartney, have exerted great influence on the younger generation of rock singers and music creators in all corners of the world. In fact, my growing experience in music can particularly reflect today's music scene. You can understand why online songs are so popular, why children love to listen to Hong Kong and Taiwan songs, and why many migrant workers listen to music with loud mobile phones. Because that's how I got here. I also heard it from the songs of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Because the songs of Hong Kong and Taiwan are the simplest and most direct, and they are closest to people's physical feelings. Your love for music must have started with songs from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Now many online songs are closer to you than songs from Hong Kong and Taiwan. For example, to be professional, you can test that the speed of all popular songs is basically 80 to 90 per minute; It's the same as your heartbeat. Including the most popular nunchakus in Jay Chou, whose rhythm is also your heart rate, except that he sang some partials of 16. This rule is obvious. When I first listened to Yesterday by the Beatles, I was very disappointed. I thought, how can I sing (laugh) without vibrato? Just sing too casually, too casually. However, after that brother told me, after a while, I was moved to tears when I listened to yesterday again. Since then, I seldom listen to songs from Hong Kong and Taiwan. I heard that Tayu Lo and The Beatles opened a particularly good door for me. It tells me that the most important thing in music is simplicity and sincerity. There may be only faint strings and guitars, and its narration may be so simple that even a middle school student can understand all the lyrics. After the third grade, I listened to a lot of such beautiful music.
After studying the minor group, I began to listen to classical music again. At first, I stayed away from classical music and thought it was a bit like Richard Clayderman. At that time, many of our classmates were willing to listen to Chopin and Schumann, including further Stravinsky. I always think they are arty. But one day, when you learn music and listen more, you can enjoy classical music. Today, more than half of the music I listen to every day is classical music. Because it is the source of all music, the ocean; All kinds of music are related to it. For example, The Beatles only plays classical music on the guitar. If you use other instruments instead of guitar, such as violin, it is basically classical music. After becoming a singer, faced with many situations, I began to wonder: Why do so many people listen to other music instead of listening to it? But now that I think about it, that's how I got here. I now listen to those songs when I was a child, except for some complexity, it is difficult to get musical touch again.
Igor Fedorovici Stravinsky (1882- 197 1) is a Russian-American composer, conductor and an important figure in western music. He studied law, then studied music composition with Rimsky-Korsakov, and finally became a veritable leader of modern music genre. From 65438 to 0939, he settled in the United States and became a French citizen and an American citizen. His works are numerous and have different styles.
Music, like people, has a growing period. It is meaningless for you to criticize a person's aesthetics. Because there are few people like me who spend so much energy on music, which is not representative. As a singer, you should not only consider the interests of the company and increase the sales of records, but also insist that your music can lead the public and one day they can enjoy your music. Just like the legend I wrote eight years ago, it is a particularly humble song, but today it has become a song sung by many people in karaoke. I think this may be a result of persistence. Most things are not immediate, just like I wrote a lot of songs in college. I often ask my classmates, "What do you think of my melody?" When students are in a good mood, they will say, "Not bad; Not bad. " When they are in a bad mood, they sometimes ask, "Li Jian, what's the use of writing these?" At that time, I was also confused: what's the use of writing these melodies every day? They said, "Can you go abroad by writing these?" (Laughter) Can you sell it for money? I was confused for a while, but then I got better. I am a sensitive person, but I can quickly forget bad emotions. I am lovelorn. Many things you do may seem useless at that time. It won't bring you fame and benefits at once, but you must be cultivated slowly.
