What does Starbucks LOGO mean?
The logo is designed according to the Scandinavian double-tailed mermaid pattern, which is the Sai Ren siren in Greek mythology. This witch means infatuation, addiction and death.
However, the mermaid's posture, but also in the dew point, makes many people think that this is a sexually suggestive pornographic icon. Later, Starbucks also thought.
LOGO is a bit explicit, and it has been fine-tuned to cover the chest with hair, only revealing the part above the stomach, which has become the current symbol.
The Sai Ren witch on Starbucks logo originated from Greek mythology. In Homer's epic "Odyssey", the goddess Kyle warned Odysseus that when they passed through the sea of desire, the siren Sai Ren would make a euphemistic song to lure the passing sailors, causing the ship to hit the rocks in silence. Odysseus blocked the ears of other companions with beeswax, tied himself to the mast, restrained his desire and crossed the dangerous sea.
Sai Ren, the siren, was originally described as half man and half bird, and later evolved into a two-tailed mermaid. Because western literary and artistic creators have the tradition of drawing lessons from Greek mythology, it often appears in later cultures and paintings, and gradually evolves into a cultural symbol.
