Zhu Yongtai

The back of the jade mountain is engraved with hundreds of words of imperial poems and seals by Zhu Yongtai, a famous carver from Suzhou. All the work took nearly 10 years. It is still in the back room of Leshou Hall.

Yao Zongren

Yao Zongren was a master jade carver from Suzhou in the Qing Dynasty. Yao Zongren's grandfather and father were both good at jade cutting. In the seventh year of the Yongzheng reign (1729), Yao Zongren was selected to go to Beijing at the same time as Du Zhitong and Han Shiliang, and worked at the palace jade-making office. He was good at designing and drawing samples. In 1741, Qianlong six years, on the first day of February, the eunuch Zhang Ming gave a piece of jade to Yao Zongren to draw samples, and on the sixteenth day, Yao Zongren drew paper samples of the eider zun, which were approved by the emperor and sent to Suzhou for production. Yao Zongren not only can draw samples, but also good at identification, Qianlong very important to him.

Zhu Shiyun

Suzhou jade carving expert during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. He was good at carving characters on jade. Zhu Shiyun was selected by the Suzhou Weaving Office to be sent to Beijing and served in the Palace Office for more than a year. In July 1775 of the 40th year of the Qianlong reign, Zhu Shiyun absconded from the palace on the pretext of illness, and the Office of the King's Maker sent a letter to Suzhou for this purpose, requesting Suzhou to investigate and handle the case. Xie Shifang
