What are the wrong parenting concepts of the older generation?

That's really too much. Let's take my grandparents as a reference and give you a few simple examples.

(1) children's leggings

When my little niece was young, my sister took her back to her hometown. My grandparents saw it. Why don't they tie leggings for their children when they are so old?

At that time, my sister and I felt so confused that we didn't even know what leggings were. Later, grandparents explained that leggings are to make children's legs straighter. I don't tie it now when I am young, and it will be too late in the future.

Then my sister and I searched some related knowledge, and finally found that leggings can not only make children's legs straight. On the contrary, it will have a certain impact on the child's blood circulation. If the force is too strong, it will even cause irreversible damage to the leg.

Simply put, it is more similar to foot binding. It's just that when we try to popularize these related knowledge with grandparents, they always believe that they have more experience in raising children for so many years than we do.

(2) When children are young, they should wear more open-backed pants.

Grandparents think it's good to wear open-backed pants in summer, so that children won't be covered with prickly heat. Moreover, it is convenient to urinate, so you don't have to worry that children will pull their pants when they suddenly want to go to the toilet.

Therefore, many grandparents and children brought up by grandparents basically wear crotch pants in summer.

In fact, there are serious problems in wearing open-backed pants. First, for girls, privacy protection is not enough. Especially when girls are two or three years old, I think it is very dangerous to wear open-backed pants.

Secondly, if a child's private parts are exposed, it is easy to get infected with bacteria. Many children prefer to move around, and they are easily scratched if they are not careful. From this perspective, there are also many security risks.

(3) blindly supplementing nutrition

To some extent, I feel that I am the victim of this action. When I was a child, I grew up with my grandparents. At that time, the family was poor, but the old people preferred children. So, whenever possible, they will try to buy me the nutrition they can buy.

The result may be because of a series of wrong operations, such as giving me middle-aged and elderly high-calcium milk powder, which makes me look a bit like a child in both IQ and body shape ~ just a bitter tear.

Therefore, I personally think that if young people have the conditions themselves, it is better to take care of their own children. Although the material may not be so rich, at least children can grow up in a fairly healthy and safe environment ~
