What kind of process is UV printing? What's the difference between it and ordinary printing?
UV printing is a printing process that uses ultraviolet light to dry and cure ink, which requires ink containing photosensitizer to cooperate with UV curing lamp. The application of UV printing is one of the most important contents in the printing industry.
The difference between UV printing and ordinary printing;
1, the consumption of UV printing ink is equivalent to that of traditional four-color overprinter: less waste of UV ink.
2. The widely spread European experience shows that the average output should be similar to the traditional way of adopting best practices (configuration of UV curing equipment, chemical characteristics of ink and varnish, and correct operation technology). The total energy cost of UV production in Shanghai is similar to that of the same printing machine equipped with infrared and hot air drying devices. The test results show that the power consumption of UV lamp is 30% lower than that of infrared/hot air drying (calculated by German energy price). Under the condition of not triggering the start-up, the energy required to start the ultraviolet lamp is higher than that of the infrared emitter, and the kW rate of the ultraviolet lamp is usually higher than that of the infrared emitter.
