What are the types of pesticides?

(1) Classification according to the source of raw materials

① Inorganic pesticides Pesticides made from mineral raw material processing. Such as sulfur preparations of sulfur, lime sulfur composite; copper preparations of copper sulfate, Bordeaux solution; phosphide of aluminum phosphide, etc..

② Biological pesticides A class of plant pesticides, is made of natural plant processing, the active ingredient contained in natural organic compounds, such as pyrethrum, tobacco and so on. Another category is microbial pesticides, is made of microorganisms and their metabolites, such as BT emulsion. Biological pesticides have the human and animal safety, do not pollute the environment, the natural enemies of small and harmful organisms will not produce resistance and other advantages, is the production of pollution-free fruit pesticide varieties vigorously promoted.

3 organic synthetic pesticides that is synthetic organic compounds pesticides. This type of pesticide is characterized by high efficacy, quick results, less dosage, wide range of uses, to adapt to a variety of different needs, but pollution of the environment, easy to make pests resistant to drugs, human and animal insecurity.

(2) according to the object of control classification

①Insecticides Chemical substances used to control harmful insects. Currently used insecticides are mainly organophosphorus and pyrethroid insecticides.

② acaricide chemical substances used to control mites and their eggs.

③ Fungicide Chemical substances used to control pathogenic microorganisms.

④ Herbicide A chemical substance used to prevent and eliminate weeds in agricultural fields.

5 Rodenticide A chemical substance used to prevent and control pest rats in farmland.

6 Plant growth regulator A chemical substance used to promote or inhibit the growth and development of agricultural and forestry crops.

(3) Classification of pesticides according to their mode of action

①Insecticides and acaricides

Touch killers: the agent touches the pests and enters into the pests and mites through the body wall and the valve, causing them to die of poisoning.

Gastrointoxicant: the agent enters into the digestive system of the pests through feeding, causing them to die of poisoning.

Endosorbent: the agent is absorbed by the stems, leaves, roots and seeds of the plant and enters the plant, and conducts and spreads in the plant, or produces more poisonous metabolites, so as to cause poisoning and death of the pests feeding on the plant.

Fumigant: the agent is turned into a harmful gas at room temperature, and enters the pests through the respiratory system, causing them to die of poisoning.

Insect growth regulator: the agent hinders the normal physiological function of the pest, prevents normal metamorphosis, so that the larvae can't turn into pupa or the pupa can't turn into insect, forming a deformed individual that has no vitality or can't reproduce.

②Fungicides

Protectants: before the onset of the disease or the early stage of the disease in the plant, the agent evenly covered in the plant surface, to eliminate the pathogenic microorganisms or to prevent the pathogenic microorganisms from expanding and spreading.

Therapeutic agents: applied after the onset of plant disease, these agents enter the plant body through endosorption, conduction to the unapplied parts of the plant body pathogenic microorganisms produce toxicity, inhibition or destruction of pathogenic microorganisms, so that the disease plant is no longer victimized, to restore the health of the plant, and thus has a protective agent can not achieve the therapeutic effect.

3 herbicides

Selective herbicides: these herbicides are selective in their toxicity to crops and in their prevention of weed species, which can be divided into two main categories, one being monocotyledonous herbicides and the other being dicotyledonous herbicides.

Inactivating herbicides: these herbicides lack selectivity for plants or are very selective, killing the vast majority of green plants.
