How should I choose liberal arts and science in high school?

The following factors should be considered when choosing arts and sciences in senior high schools:

First, consider personal interests. Interest is the best teacher. If a person is interested in something, he will accept it from the heart and get close to it. No matter how difficult it is, he will try his best to solve it and enjoy it from the process of solving it. Students can think about the little things in life, whether they will feel the same way. I believe the same is true in study. As long as you like any subject, you will redouble your efforts. This subject will certainly be learned well and easily. Some students like calculus reasoning since childhood, and they can enjoy the fun from logical reasoning. Some students have read extensively since childhood and are interested in humanities such as politics, economy and history. Different interests determine different value orientations. Therefore, it can be used as a reference when choosing arts and sciences.

Second, combined with the learning situation. After primary school and junior high school, if you are good at math, science and chemistry and like it better, then it is better to choose science; If you can study politics and history and are interested in them, you might as well choose liberal arts; Some students are good at everything, and the choice of science is more appropriate. Some students are average, and liberal arts are suitable. For students with learning difficulties, what to choose is not important. Of course, Chinese and English, regardless of arts and sciences, should not be too bad. The college entrance examination is exactly the same. It is suggested that students with good grades in Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages, but poor grades in science and chemistry, who are not interested, choose to apply for liberal arts.

Third, grasp the characteristics of the discipline. Liberal arts mainly study Chinese, mathematics, English, politics, history and geography. Among them, Chinese and English are not divided into arts and sciences, and arts mathematics is easier than science mathematics. Politics, history and geography in senior high school reopened, and every student stood on the same starting line. Politics, history and geography of liberal arts should not only be remembered, but also understood, and can be applied flexibly in combination with reality. It mainly examines students' humanistic thoughts, methods and concepts. Science mainly studies Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry and biology. Although I have taught physics and chemistry in junior high school, I basically started from scratch after entering senior high school. It can be said that there is not much knowledge connection. It is the same for everyone to start biology in the second year of high school, and there is no basic problem. Science mainly examines students' analytical thinking and logical reasoning ability. Neither liberal arts nor science is easy or difficult. Each subject has its own characteristics. The newspaper selection is just the beginning. If you want to learn well, you must work hard.

Fourth, pay attention to misunderstandings.

(1) is the idea of valuing science over literature: some parents think that excellent young people should study science and liberal arts because their grades can't keep up; Others think that girls should study liberal arts and boys should study science. In fact, there is no distinction between liberal arts and science. (2) I think the admission rate of science is higher than that of liberal arts: the admission rate of liberal arts is slightly lower than that of science, mainly because there are relatively more people applying for liberal arts in recent years, but there are not enough outstanding children studying liberal arts. Similarly, the admission rate is only a group concept. As an individual student, there is no need to pay special attention to it.

(3) It is considered that it is easier to find a job in the future than to study liberal arts: science and engineering will definitely become an engineer and designer after graduation. However, different regions have different social and economic development directions. For example, Hangzhou is a tourist city with profound cultural heritage. From the perspective of human resources, as the political, financial and cultural center of Zhejiang Province, the demand for liberal arts talents is still great, and liberal arts talents may not be more difficult to find jobs than science talents.

(4) Listen to parents' interests or value orientation: Many parents arrange their children's liberal arts choices according to their own study and work experience, especially in high schools now. Parents must sign on the choice of reading and studying, and parents have full rights to dominate their children's choices, while children are often afraid to argue with each other because of their shallow learning experience.

(5) It is entirely based on the quality of the results: the quality of the arts and sciences is of course an important reference for selection, but it is not the only basis, especially when there is little difference between the two. Parents should not only look at their children's grades, but also consider their interests, values and personality when they divide subjects into arts and sciences in high school, which may benefit their children for life.
