Creative background:

1975, the lyricist Huo Hua went to Xilin Gol League in Inner Mongolia for a meeting and went deep into the grassland to experience life. From 65438 to 0977, Huo Hua was transferred to the China People's Liberation Army Inner Mongolia Military Region Art Troupe to write lyrics. When he wrote lyrics to participate in the art performance of the whole army, he remembered this past event and was touched by his heart, so he wrote the first draft of the lyrics of "Beautiful Grassland My Home".

Because it is prepared for the performance, the first draft of the lyrics is relatively short; Because of the age of creation, there are some slogans such as "Daqing, Dazhai, Infinite Good" in the first draft of lyrics. After the lyrics were written, A Min Bu and Wang Huanfeng, then the deputy head of the Inner Mongolia Military Region Cultural and Art Troupe, wrote lyrics and took part in the army's cultural performance.

After that, Howard met the composer Alaten Ole, who was moved by Howard's lyrics. After repeated brewing, he decided to compose again. Finally, I finished composing music when I was studying in Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

1At the beginning of 978, Ma, a senior majoring in vocal music in Shanghai Conservatory of Music, found Alatenggele and told him that he was from Jining District, Inner Mongolia, hoping to sing some songs with national characteristics, so Alatenggele gave it to her to sing on campus. Later, in Inner Mongolia, Alaten Aoli gave this song to Dedema, a soloist of Inner Mongolia Song and Dance Troupe, when he was preparing a party to present the 30th anniversary of the founding of New China.

After Dedema sang a song, an overseas Chinese went backstage to find her and suggested that the lyrics of the song should be changed to pure lyrics praising hometown and nature. After Dedema returned to Inner Mongolia, he told Huohua this opinion, and Huohua revised the lyrics and deleted those slogans with the characteristics of the times.
