A Brief Introduction to the Author of China's Traditional Music
Yuan Jingfang, female, born on February 22, 1936, Han nationality, from Yueyang County, Hunan Province, is a musician, professor and doctoral supervisor. He used to be the head of the Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music. Professor Yuan devoted himself to the research of China's traditional instrumental music and music theory. In the late 198s, he began to set foot in the arrangement and research of Buddhist and Taoist music.
Offering theoretical courses: Introduction to National Instrumental Music, Analysis and Research on Famous Works of Traditional Instrumental Music in China, Research on Buddhist Music in China, Special Study on Traditional Music Theory in China, etc., and instructing many masters and doctoral students. The main works are National Instrumental Music (1987), Chinese Musical Instrument (edited by the text, 1991), Research on Buddhist Music in China (1997), Julu Taoist Ritual Music in Hebei (1998) and Musicology (1999). The main academic papers include: Outstanding Folk Musician A Bing and His Erhu Music, Outstanding Composer and Innovator of National Instrumental Music in the May 4th Movement, Probe into the Structure of Folk Gong and Drum Music, Research on the Structure of Folk Instrumental Music Suite in China, Introduction to Musicology, Research on nave Music of Buddhist Beijing in China, and Research on the Family Series of "Stumbling". In 1992, her "National Musical Instrument" won the second prize in the first evaluation of excellent professional teaching materials of art colleges directly under the Ministry of Culture and the 1995 Excellent Scientific Research Achievement Award of the State Education Commission; Editor-in-chief's book Chinese Musical Instruments won the first prize of outstanding scientific research achievements in philosophy and social sciences in Beijing in 1994.
In p>1992, Professor Yuan received a special government allowance. In 1995, he was awarded the title of excellent teacher in Beijing.
The main social part-time jobs are: member of the National Music Committee and Theory Committee of China Musicians Association, vice president of Chinese Traditional Music Society, director of China Nanyin Society, etc.
