Harbin ice lantern ice sculpture is a traditional handicraft skill of Han nationality in Heilongjiang Province. Ice lanterns and sculptures in Harbin are ice buildings, sculptures and other works made with ice as material and water as adhesive by masonry, piling, carving, freezing and inlaying. After they are matched with various lights, they form a scenic spot with scattered heights, dense density and natural opening and closing, supplemented by various means, to achieve the harmonious unity of shape, light, sound and movement, forming a dazzling and puzzling ice park. In March 2009, Harbin Ice Lantern Ice Sculpture was declared by Heilongjiang Culture and Art Development Center and approved by Heilongjiang Provincial Government, which became the second batch of intangible cultural heritage in Heilongjiang Province.
