How to make a kite by hand

Prepare materials/tools: newspapers, scissors, bamboo sticks, tape, and rope.

1. First of all, you must be familiar with the structure of the kite and prepare materials.

2. Choose a light newspaper and draw a square on it. Use scissors or a craft knife to cut out the square.

3. Turn the square upward at right angles, and place bamboo sticks on the vertical diagonals to form the backbone of the kite. Use long bamboo sticks as the backbone and short bamboo sticks as the beam bones.

4. Place another bamboo stick horizontally as a beam, perpendicular to the spine. Place it on the top half of the paper, not on the other diagonal. The beam should bisect the spine vertically. Use string and tape to secure the intersection of the two bamboo sticks. Use all-purpose glue to make it stronger.

5. Then use ropes to connect the four endpoints of the spine and beam, fix them on the paper, and cut off the paper outside the bamboo sticks. This should form a diamond shape.

6. After the basic outline of the kite is completed, use tape to reinforce it in the center and four corners.

7. Poke a small hole around the intersection of the beam and spine.

8. Pass the rope through the four holes and connect them without tying them too tightly. This forms the string of the kite.

9. Install a strip of cloth on the tail of the kite as a tail. The tail enhances the stability of the kite.

10. Connect a long rope to the lifting line and use it as a flying line. The tail end of the flying line is wound around the kite shaft.

11, this will make a kite.
