What does Korean drum mean? What does it stand for?
Korean drum: also known as "stick drum". Korean folk musical instruments. It has a long history, unique structure and soft timbre, and is often used in songs, dance accompaniment and instrumental ensemble.
South Korean patriarch's drum and waist bulging originated in India. In the 4th century, the waist drum was introduced into the Central Plains of China through the Silk Road, and then spread eastward to North Korea.
During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, I originally called the long drum "unique altar drum", "Mao Yuan drum" and "waist drum". Although there was no name at that time, the long drum was actually used in Tianzhu, Qiuci, Xiliang, Shule, Gaochang, Korea and other places. Long drums in Song Dynasty went down in history with the name of "Zhanggu".
Wooden sticks and drums were recorded in the Yuan Dynasty's "Qi Le of Yuan Yan Shi".
In the past hundred years, the stick and drum gradually disappeared in the Central Plains of China, but it was widely circulated among Korean people, so it was renamed Changgu.
