The people of Shandong are self-respecting, honest and simple, and are hot on the outside and hot on the inside.

Shandong

Shandong, the People's Republic of China, is a provincial-level administrative region of the People's Republic of China (PRC), abbreviated as "Lu", with the provincial capital Jinan. It is located on the east coast of China, in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, between latitude 34°22.9′-38°24.01′ north and longitude 114°47.5′-122°42.3′ east. The territory includes two parts, the peninsula and the inland part, the Shandong Peninsula protrudes from the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, and confronts with Liaodong Peninsula; the inland part is bordered by four provinces, Hebei, Henan, Anhui, and Jiangsu, from north to south. The province has a land area of 157,100 square kilometers[1], 17 prefecture-level cities, and 137 county-level units; the resident population is 99,466,400 (end of 2016)[2].

When Xia Yu divided the nine states, Shandong belonged to Qingzhou. Before the establishment of the Shang Dynasty, the founder of the Shang, Qi, was located in Fan, and Xiangtu Dongdu was located under Mount Tai. During the Warring States period, Qi became one of the Seven Heroes; and most of Shandong today is owned by Qi and Lu. At the end of the Qin Dynasty and the beginning of the Han Dynasty, Xiang Yu divided Qi into three kingdoms: Qi, Jiaodong and Jibei. 1949 saw the liberation of the Changshan Islands and the liberation of all Shandong Province.

Shandong Province is named after the east of the Taihang Mountains, and was part of the states of Qi and Lu during the pre-Qin period, hence the name Qilu. Shandong is the birthplace of Confucian culture; Jiang Taigong and so on were born in Lu and a large number of aspiring celebrities; Qi also created the world's first official organization, private presided over by the higher learning institutions - Jixi Palace. Famous attractions are: Mount Tai, three holes, Baotu, Daming Lake, Qingdao stack bridge, Penglai Pavilion, Zhou Village, Mengshan and so on.
