Classification of energy materials

Visually important new energy materials are:

(1) Fission reactor materials, such as uranium, plutonium and other nuclear fuels, reactor structural materials, moderator, coolant and control rod materials.

(2) Fusion reactor materials: including thermonuclear fusion fuel, first wall material, tritium value-added agent, structural materials, etc.

(3) High-energy propellant: including liquid propellant and solid propellant.

(4) Fuel cell materials: such as battery electrode materials and electrolytes.

(5) Hydrogen energy materials: mainly solid hydrogen storage materials and their application technologies.

(6) Superconducting materials: traditional superconducting materials, high-temperature superconducting materials and their application technologies in energy saving and energy storage.

(7) Solar cell materials.

(8) Other new energy materials: such as materials needed in wind energy, geothermal energy and magnetic fluid power generation technology.
