The Painting Course of Tuan Fan

The painting process of Tuan Fan is as follows:

Draw a line. Dip Gou Xianbi in a little light ink to outline the petals, branches and leaves of Haitang, which is also called line drawing. Beginners are not familiar with Gou Xianbi, so they can use 2B pencil to compose the composition first, so as to modify the overall layout and local lines of flowers. After the exquisite fan composition is satisfactory, they can use Gou Xianbi to re-tick the lines, but remember to keep the lines smooth and uniform in thickness.

After the line is drawn, it can be colored when it is dry. The meticulous painting of the round fan needs to be colored and smudged many times according to the depth of color. So when you paint for the first time, don't draw the petals evenly, but the depth of the color shall prevail.

Color from the center of the flower and apply it with a clean white pen. Pay attention to the difference between the front and back colors of leaves when coloring them. When coloring, use cyanine to adjust a little gamboge, so that when the color is adjusted to dark green, it will smudge from the Ye Jin in the middle of the leaves to both sides.

Because its users are generally women, the pictures created on fans are mainly flowers and birds. Traditional round fans generally use silk as fabric. Silk fans are more suitable for creating meticulous flower-and-bird paintings.

At present, it is also useful to make a thin round fan with thick leather paper and alum rice paper, which needs workers to write and choose according to the material of the fan. The picture creation of the group fan generally includes drawing, coloring, blooming, contrast and so on.
