Mid-Autumn Festival Torchlighting is from which place?

Mid-Autumn Festival torchlighting is a custom in Fuyang, Anhui Province.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, but in the Fuyang area, people call it the Torch Festival, an appellation derived from the legend that Liu Futong led the Red Turban Army in an uprising. According to legend, at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Han Shantong and Liu Futong organized a peasant uprising, responded by raising torches and conquered Yingzhou. A nursery rhyme was circulated at the time: "The city was full of fire, the officials scattered to hide; there was no one in the city, the Red Turbans sat on the mat."

In order to commemorate this uprising, Fuyang area folk every Mid-Autumn Festival night, young people will imitate the Red Turbans, with broomcorn millet, sunflower stalks wrapped in straw, to the field fire, shaking to shake, to be burned out and then return. This custom is known as "put the torch", and is still prevalent in the region.
