What is the traffic location method of highway planning

The principle of traffic location method is: to analyze the current situation and find out the problems of the highway network; to predict the future traffic volume according to the socio-economic and transportation development forecasts and related analyses using the concept and theory of "traffic field"; to predict the total size of the highway network based on the level of economic development, the distribution of the population and the national territory as well as the future demand for transportation; to study the layout of the highway network according to the "traffic location line method"; to optimize the road network through single-factor and multi-factor analysis.
