Why Japanese classical music always has an eerie feel to it

Maybe you're listening to wabi-sabi type, that is, tunes that utilize the shamisen, ah, taiko drums, etc. or something like that. I don't know how to put it. Do you feel like listening to this tune has the feeling of a hundred ghosts walking at night and the other side of the Yellow Springs? That's one of the characteristics of Japanese wabi-sabi tunes. A lot of the credit for that eerie feeling goes to the instrumentation, I guess. But really quite good, you can also go to listen to other pure music in Japan, absolutely awesome oh
