Who invented ham sausage?
Sausage originated in Japan, Europe and America, and its history in China is not long. 1986, at an international food fair, a set of Japanese ham sausage production prototype aroused the strong interest of Gao Fenglai, the representative of Luoyang Meat Joint Factory. It was this set of machinery and equipment that they purchased that produced the first ham sausage in China (Chundu Group was the first enterprise to introduce ligation production line in the history of China). Since then, the Central Plains has set off a boom in ham sausage sales, and it has developed into one of the leading industries in China meat products market in just over ten years. According to the data in 2008, the annual output of meat products has grown to 10 million tons, and the output of ham sausage accounts for one third of the total meat products, with annual sales reaching 50 billion yuan. People in China eat tens of billions of sausages every year, and people in Northeast China and North China like them best. The market in the north is obviously better than that in the south, so most domestic enterprises with large ham sausage production are concentrated in Henan and Shandong provinces, accounting for more than 80% of the national total.
