What is the difference between thinking and traditional notes?

In the past year, we often heard people talk about the benefits of mind mapping and the changes that mind mapping will bring to brain thinking. However, there are some similarities between mind maps and traditional notes. I just think that mind maps are more fancy than traditional notes, and there is no essential difference. So I watched some online courses and drew the following conclusions.

In some courses, it is said that mind mapping can help the brain to sort out ideas, do a good job of induction and classification, and then spread their thinking infinitely, and also enhance their association ability, so as not to think wildly and get back to the topic in time.

It looks like a spiritual guide. Mind mapping is just a little more fancy and colorful than traditional notes, and it looks more like a complete image. This image seems to have no practical use for this note, but it is precisely because of this fancy picture that it can stimulate the memory of the brain, so that when the brain recalls this knowledge point, it can quickly think of the complete picture, and then help people recover their memories.
