In June, 2008, Jiaxiang Stone Carving was listed in the "Second List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage" published by the Ministry of Culture. Jiaxiang since ancient times, "every family has a hammer, and every household is busy." For thousands of years, China Jiaxiang has stood at the peak of China stone carving culture with its unique geographical advantages and the wisdom and hard work of Jiaxiang people. Tens of thousands of stone carvings are exported from here to every corner of the country and even the world every year. In China, more than 80% of the blue stone carvings produced every year come from Yu Jiaxiang. 1996 jiaxiang was named "the hometown of stone carving in China" by the state. Jiaxiang stone carving is exquisite in craftsmanship and unique in style, and it is a tribute from successive governments to the court. In the new era, Jiaxiang stone carving artists inherit, develop and innovate traditional stone carving techniques, absorb wood carving and jade carving techniques, and use high-tech means to carve modern handicrafts with local lapis lazuli as the main raw material, supplemented by famous stone treasures such as marble and white marble. He is good at carving Long Ting Dragon Column, Qionglou Jade Pavilion, birds and animals, figures, flowers and antique utensils. On the basis of maintaining and carrying forward the essence of traditional sculpture art, he also endowed modern sculpture with the flavor of the times, and enjoyed the reputation of "excelling nature" and "creating the world" at home and abroad. Today, stone carving works have formed ten series, nearly a thousand varieties, all over the world. Large Confucius statues have been exported to Ashikaga and Surabaya, Japan, and are called "the most stone carving figures in the world". The ten dragon pillars displayed in front of Taochuan Palace in Taohuayuan Scenic Area, Hunan Province, the group sculptures of seven fairies in Yaohai Park, Hefei, Anhui Province, the monument in Taoranting Park in Beijing, the giant sculpture in front of the Ministry of Finance, and the 60-square-meter mural of Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province are all modern typical works of Jiaxiang stone carving, which are highly praised at home and abroad.
