I think civilized sacrifice is necessary and should be strongly advocated. Burning paper money and incense is a traditional custom and an unhealthy sacrifice. It not only destroys the natural environment, but also pollutes the air, which is harmful to people and things. Especially in arid and rainy areas, the old custom of burning paper money is easy to cause fire, which is not conducive to national environmental protection and is easy to bring unnecessary trouble to itself. It should attract everyone's attention. The times are developing and the society is progressing. We should vigorously advocate civilized sacrifices and replace paper money and incense sticks with flowers, starting with me.

As a traditional folk festival in China, Tomb-Sweeping Day is also the biggest ancestor worship festival in China. It is said that the customs and habits of more than two thousand years cannot be changed overnight.

So why burn paper money? It turned out that gold, silver, jade and other money were buried. The ancients believed that after death, people went to the underworld and hell, and their relatives buried what they had before, so that they could continue to enjoy it. Later, it was changed to burn, one for theft prevention and the other for Buddhist influence. Fire can deliver sacrifices to ghosts and gods, which has been used to this day.

Later, I actually noticed: burning paper money needs to be burned on the road, but it can't be chosen in the traffic, indicating that the sun is too heavy; Take out two pieces and burn them to the ghost before burning; Once it is burned, it must be burned, so as to prevent people underground from receiving the full money for burning paper. Today, it has developed to the point where everyone knows it, and it has already been deeply rooted in people's hearts.

Science is always advancing, and human beings are always developing. We advocate environmental protection, new ideas and new customs, but if we really abandon the tradition of burning paper and send flowers instead, it will inevitably attract the doubts of most people (especially the older generation), which is extremely embarrassing and slightly ironic. The older generation is rigid in thinking and has a deep-rooted understanding of some things when they grow up.

We are a new generation of ideological change and progress. The change of Qingming custom may be a long process, but it must conform to the development of the times after all.
