Maintenance knowledge of riding boots

It is not advisable to wear riding boots in rain and snow. Once wet, the following measures should be taken:

1. Wipe off the sludge and sewage on the shoes with a wet cloth first, then dry them with a dry cloth, and coat the boots with bright oil when they are half dry;

2. Insert the old newspaper into the shoes (the old newspaper has good water absorption, which can not only absorb water, but also help to fix the shoe type), and then put the shoes on the old newspaper to dry in the shade, and place them in a cool and ventilated place;

3. If the leather has hardened, you can gently wipe it with a little sesame oil, olive oil or castor oil after massage, and then apply a thin layer of shoe polish;

4. Wet riding boots can also be dried by the cold air of the hair dryer, and hot air is not allowed. Also, riding boots should not be placed too close to the heating or stove, nor should they be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the leather will be deformed, hardened or cracked too quickly.

5. If the sole is leather bottom, when it is dried in the shade, the sole should face upwards, so that it can be dried thoroughly. Wet shoes should not be put directly into the shoe cabinet, so as not to cause other shoes to breed mold;

6. The cloth vamp is easy to delaminate, so it should be avoided to soak in water and scrub hard, especially the elastic cloth with elasticity. Excessive scrubbing can lead to relaxation.

Other considerations:

1, try to avoid wearing the same pair of riding boots for many days in a row, so that the leather shoes have enough time to return to their original state;

2. Protect leather from moisture, bumps, sun exposure and contact with corrosive substances;

3. It is ideal to put the shoe brace when not in use, which can prevent wrinkles and deformation;

4. Boots are easy to harden, fade, wrinkle or even be damaged after soaking in water, while suede and other materials are easy to deform when exposed to water and are not easy to arrange and maintain, so they should be avoided in rainy and snowy days. Wear leather shoes in rainy days, you can spray antifouling and waterproof spray to avoid damage to the rider's boots.
