Many teenagers like to celebrate Western festivals, but forget the traditional festivals of the motherland. What does this phenomenon mean?

Western festivals generally have a strong commercial flavor, for example, when it comes to Christmas, the streets are decorated with lights, all the major restaurants and shopping malls have Christmas specials, and adults treat each other to gifts and fun. These factors have largely influenced the preferences of young people (and Christmas coincides with the school year, so it is convenient to give gifts). This situation is very much related to the development of the market economy to a certain stage. Now that our economy has reached this stage of development, it is just the right time to adapt to this commercialization and romance of the Western holidays.

China's traditional festivals, most of which are based on the development of agricultural society, are not yet adaptable enough for the arrival of commercialization. This is the deep-seated reason why teenagers are now keen on Western festivals and downplaying traditional ones.

But I believe that traditional festivals will continue to improve and develop with the development of society, and will integrate and progress with western festivals.
