The fairy tales about Nezha are: cutting bones into flesh, lotus building a body, three heads and six arms. Nezha is the third prince of Tota Wang Lijia, the immortal in ancient myths and legends of China, and the protector of Taoism.

In folklore, Nezha is regarded as the first of the "Five Camp Gods" to save the world and protect the people. He is the God of Marshal who commands heavenly soldiers and generals, and is also honored as "Marshal Prince", "Master of Heaven Shuai" and "King of Steam Turbine". He often appears as a doll or a child. Nezha's main record originated from the religious myth classic "Three Religions Seeking Gods" in Yuan Dynasty, and was active in many classic literary works such as ghost series novels, Romance of Gods, The Journey to the West and Travel Notes in the South in Ming Dynasty.
