How to write punctuation marks in China's calligraphy?
Personally, I think it is enough to follow the requirements of modern arts and sciences in China. One is horizontal, which belongs to modern format, and punctuation marks should occupy a space. The other is vertical, which belongs to the traditional format without punctuation.
Calligraphy works generally do not add punctuation (unless occasionally some calligraphers pursue innovation), and punctuation in calligraphy works inevitably makes people feel neither fish nor fowl. After all, calligraphy is a continuation of ancient art, and the ancients rarely used punctuation, even if they used it occasionally, it was in books, not to mention that the punctuation in ancient times was completely different from now.
So I suggest that you don't use punctuation marks in calligraphy works, just as you don't use simplified Chinese characters to avoid being laughed at.
