There are many plains and few rivers in the north, so we should live together along the water source. However, there are many mountains and rivers in the south, so it is not suitable to build houses in one assembly place. I don't think it is necessary to live in one place.

3. Environmental reasons

The weather in the north is dry, but it will be very cold in winter. If the house is scattered, there is no heating before and there are not so many things blocking it, the house will become very cold. The air in the south is humid, especially when you return to the south, the floor in the house will leak, so when building a house, you will choose a relatively less humid place to build a house.
