Poetry China
Poetry China is a traditional poetry writing competition, initiated by the China Bookstore, co-sponsored by the China Publishing Group, China Central Television, the China Bookstore, the China Poetry Research Institute, the China Poetry Society, and co-organized by China Mobile Communications Corporation.
Poetry China aims to stimulate the poetic nature of the people and awaken the poetic meaning of life, and takes poetry as an entry point to popularize and promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture for the whole society. Since its launch on September 28, 2012, Poetry China has been successfully held for three times, and has received more than 370,000 original poems from 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across China, with more than 41 million participants.
As the first high-profile, large-scale, all-media poetry competition in China, Poetry China takes websites, cell phone clients, SMS, etc. as the main entry platform, and makes comprehensive use of all-media dissemination methods such as newspapers, periodicals, TV, books, and microblogging, supplemented by lectures, evening parties, and youth sub-contests, realizing the dissemination of traditional culture in all-media and multi-media.
