China's industrial base

At the beginning of the founding of New China, China's industries were mainly distributed in three northeastern provinces and several southwestern provinces, such as Sichuan and Yunnan. The three northeastern provinces have been occupied by the Japanese for a long time, and their industries have developed for a long time. They are the traditional heavy industry bases of New China. Due to the migration of factories, equipment and talents in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the southeast coast, the southwest is gradually becoming an important industrial base in China.

But at the end of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Soviet Union forcibly took away most of the industrial equipment in the three northeastern provinces. It can be said that all industries in the three northeastern provinces were paralyzed at this time. It was not until New China established the socialist development path that the Soviet Union joined the Eastern Group in the international situation. In order to unite China and resist the infiltration of capitalist countries dominated by the United States, the Soviet Union began to help China develop its industry. But this development is also conditional and selective. This is still centered on the three northeastern provinces, helping China rebuild all heavy industry bases. However, in order to maintain its status as a world superpower, the Soviet Union unilaterally reached a denuclearization agreement with the United States and organized China to develop nuclear weapons. Knowing that China was engaged in research, the Soviet Union withdrew all Soviet experts and materials and equipment in China overnight, paralyzing almost all industries in China.
