Chinese History Dynastic Origins

China has a long history, and its dynasties are even more sporadic and numerous. The first thing that the founder of each dynasty had to do was to establish the name of the country, i.e. the name of the dynasty, or dynastic name for short.

Dynasty name is determined by what, roughly there are five reasons: the name of the tribe, tribal alliances, from the creator of the original Gua number, title; from the creator of the original regime of the region ruled by; from the clan relationship; meaning auspicious.

Summer: According to legend, Yu was once sealed in the Xia Bo, used to call his regime "Xia". According to Mr. Fan Wenlan, a historian, Yu's son Qi moved west to Daxia (the area around Fenhwoe in the southwestern part of Shanxi Province) before he was called "Xia", and Si Shaokang revitalized the Xia Dynasty in Luncheng (west of Yucheng in present-day Shangqiu, Henan Province), restoring the rule of the Xia Dynasty, which is called "Shaokang's Revival" in history.
