China's four major industrial zones are dominated by heavy industry.

Among the four major industrial bases in China, the industrial base in central and southern Liaoning is dominated by heavy industry.

The four industrial bases refer to China Liaozhongnan Industrial Base, Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Industrial Base, Shanghai-Nanjing-Hangzhou Industrial Base (Yangtze River Delta Industrial Base) and Pearl River Delta Industrial Base. The development of each industrial base has its own characteristics.

Besides the four traditional industrial bases, there are three high-tech industrial belts in China: Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei high-tech industrial belt, Shanghai-Nanjing-Hangzhou high-tech industrial belt and Pearl River Delta high-tech industrial belt.

1. The industrial bases in central and southern Liaoning (including a series of industrial cities such as Shenyang, Fushun, Anshan, Benxi, Dalian, Liaoyang and Yingkou) are dominated by heavy industries such as steel, machinery and petrochemical.

Second, the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan industrial base (a triangle with Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan as its vertices) has industries such as steel, machinery, chemicals, electronics and textiles, and is the second largest comprehensive industrial base in China. It is also the largest comprehensive industrial base in the north.

3. Shanghai-Nanjing-Hangzhou Industrial Base, also known as the Yangtze River Delta (a triangle with Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou as its vertices), is the largest comprehensive industrial base in China with developed light and heavy industries. A comprehensive industrial base with the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete structure, the highest technical level and the highest economic benefits.

Four, the Pearl River Delta industrial base (including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Huizhou and other industrial cities), mainly clothing, electronics, toys, food and other light industries.
