According to the National Implementation Plan for Transformation and Upgrading of Coal-fired Power Units released last year, the scale of energy-saving and carbon-reducing transformation of coal-fired power plants will be no less than 350 million kilowatts during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period.

The scale of heating transformation will strive to reach 50 million kilowatts, and 200 million kilowatts will be flexibly transformed. Coal-fired power is the most economical, feasible, safe and reliable flexible regulation resource, which can improve the power supply capacity and promote the development of renewable energy.
