Driveline should have what function

The role of the driveline is to ensure that the car has in a variety of driving conditions necessary traction, speed, as well as to ensure that the traction and speed of the coordinated change between the functions, so that the car has good power and fuel economy; also ensure that the car can reverse, as well as the left and right drive wheels to adapt to the differential speed requirements, and so that the power transfer according to the needs of a smooth combination of or thorough, rapid separation.

The driveline includes clutch, transmission, drive shaft, main reducer, differential and half shaft.

The basic function of the driveline is to receive power from the engine and transmit it to the drive wheels. In addition, it can also increase the torque from the engine; reduce the engine output speed; change the direction of rotation of the engine output speed; cut off the transmission of engine power to the drive wheels and other functions.

The driveline consists of a clutch, a transmission, a universal drive and a drive axle (see diagram on next page). According to the different characteristics of the transmission components, the driveline can be divided into: mechanical driveline, hydro-mechanical transmission, hydrostatic (volumetric-hydraulic) and electric power and so on.
