Which energy sources can directly generate electricity?

1, hydroelectricity

The basic principle of hydroelectricity is the use of water level difference, with the turbine generator to generate electricity, that is, the use of water level energy into the mechanical energy of the water wheel, and then mechanical energy to drive the generator, and get power. Scientists use the natural conditions of this water level difference, the effective use of flow engineering and mechanical physics, etc., carefully matched to achieve the highest power generation, for people to use cheap and non-polluting electricity.

2, thermal power generation

The thermal power generation system mainly consists of combustion system (boiler as the core), steam and water system (mainly composed of various types of pumps, feedwater heaters, condensers, pipelines, water-cooled walls, etc.), electrical system (turbine generator, main transformer, etc.), control systems and other components.

The first two produce high-temperature and high-pressure steam; the electrical system realizes the transformation from thermal energy and mechanical energy to electric energy; the control system ensures the safe, reasonable and economic operation of each system.

3, nuclear power generation

The core device of nuclear power generation is a nuclear reactor. Nuclear reactors are divided into thermal neutron reactors and fast neutron reactors according to the neutron energy that causes fission. Fast neutrons are neutrons released by the fission reaction. Thermal neutrons, on the other hand, are neutrons from the slowing down of fast neutrons.

Operating in large numbers are thermal neutron reactors, in which a moderator is needed to slow fast neutrons into thermal neutrons by elastic collisions of its nucleus with fast neutrons. The materials used in thermal neutron reactors are primarily natural uranium (3% U-235) and slightly enriched uranium (about 3% U-236).

4, wind power

The conversion of wind energy into electricity is one of the most basic ways of utilizing wind energy. Wind turbines generally have wind wheels, generators, regulators (tails), towers, speed-limiting safety mechanisms and energy storage devices and other components. The working principle of the wind turbine is relatively simple, the wind wheel rotates under the action of wind, which transforms the kinetic energy of the wind into the mechanical energy of the wind wheel shaft. The generator rotates to generate electricity driven by the wind turbine shaft.

5, human power

Can produce force things can generate electricity, like water and wind like, human power can also generate electricity. Therefore, there are hand-cranked and pedal generators that convert the energy generated by people in motion into electricity.
